When I was working on Sunday, there was a couple that came in the guy was 21 and the girl was about 19 years old. When they were ready to check out, he had alcohol so the cashier asked for both their ID's so the guy gave his ID to the cashier then she asked for the girls but she said she wasn't old enough. The cashier made the call and decided not the sell the alcohol to them even though the guy was buying it, its company policy.

I hope they didn't cause a scene. I know when I worked at Sweetbay I had to follow the same policy and the fit the people would throw. If you know the person you're with isn't old enough to buy it you probably should just go to the gas station or leave them in the car, but some people just don't get that.
